The Seven

The Seven

Text: Daniela Festi (2015)

Warning: contains Game of Throne spoilers

There’s a lady not sure if it’s true what they told.

And she’s praying for help to the Seven.

When she gets there she knows, as the Septa is closed

How to pray in the words of her childhood.

Ooh-ooh-hoo, hoo-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

And she's praying for help to the Seven

There are signs on the walls, charcoal drawings of god,

cause she knows that God has seven faces

There’s a tree by the brook, where the Old Gods have eyes,

sometimes all of her thoughts are misgiven

Ooh, it makes her wonder. Ooh, it makes her wonder

There’s feeling she gets when the looks to the west

and her spirit is crying for leaving

In her thoughts she has seen, death and blood through the trees

And the voices of love that have warned her

Ooh, it makes her wonder. Ooh, really makes her wonder

And it's whispered that soon, if we all know the runes

that the long lasting summer is over

And a new day will dawn, icy evil will spawn.

And the north knows that winter is coming

Prays to the mother for her sons, she is alarmed now

A vision comes, she sees the High Queen

Yes, there’s are dark path that she goes by but in the long run

The Queen’s a mother who fights for her son

And it makes her wonder. Oh-oh-ho

Her head is humming, and her eyes burn - and then she does know

The wicked secret of the boy king

Her husband, and good friends have found out - they are dead know

And little Bran will never walk again

And as she winds on down the road

Her shadows taller than her soul

There walks a lady we all know

Who went to death, her heart is stone

She puts her hand on open wounds

You have to listen very hard

And vengeance comes to her at last

When all is lost, then kill them all

She is a rock and that’s the toll

And she's praying for help to the Seven
